In ’N’ Out Burger is a fast food establishment that has been around since 1949 with hundreds of restaurants throughout California, Arizona and Nevada.  Gray & Associates was involved with all three Northern Nevada locations including Reno, Sparks & Carson City.  In order to facilitate the necessary traffic flow for this popular fast food restaurant in Reno, accessibility to and from the In ‘N’ Out Burger had to be coordinated in a way that would provide easy accessibility.  This was done by redesigning the left turn pocket from South Virginia Street to Patriot Drive from North to West. 

Along with the redesign of the left turn pocket, handicap ramps were also designed to meet NDOT requirements. In addition, survey crews worked with NDOT Right-of-way staff to coordinate needed encroachment dimensions and improvement needs.  At all In ‘N’ Out facilities, survey crews provided follow-up construction staking and field support services in order for successful construction of each project.
