The unique mountain community of Grizzly Ranch, located 50 miles northwest of Reno, developed a recreational community center providing parking and fire access for the residents.  Accessible, yet aesthetic design was the dominating concern, complicated by steep terrain and sensitive erosion issues.  Gray & Associates succeeded in designing a visually non-intrusive parking area that met fire access needs while at the same time providing erosion control and drainage facilities approved by the Corps of Engineers and the California State Water Quality Control Board.
